Privacy policy

Effective September 9, 2026 · Version 0.1.0

ClipKeys operates locally in your browser to control TikTok video playback and navigation. It processes configured key presses and reads the active video’s playback state and visible navigation controls only to perform the actions you request. It ignores key presses while you type in supported text-entry fields.

Your shortcut bindings, playback preferences and last selected playback speed are stored in your Chrome profile using local extension storage. ClipKeys does not use Chrome Sync.

ClipKeys does not retain typed keys, TikTok page content, video or audio, account details, video URLs, watch history, searches or comments. It does not transmit or sell user data, and it does not include analytics, advertising or a developer-operated server. It makes no external network requests of its own. TikTok itself continues to operate under its own privacy policy.

Removing the extension removes its local extension storage. You can reset preferences from the settings screen before removal if desired.

ClipKeys is an independent extension and is not affiliated with or endorsed by TikTok.
